A Moving Post

There's a new service in Booking Services, and I am using the Blog to clarify it.

What IS the moving package?

1. It’s me helping you organize what you will be taking with you to your new space.

2. It’s me helping you organize how the things you’ll be taking with you will be organized for the move.

3. You can add on a binder with all of your moving information, so it’s all in one place, and you don’t have to try and figure out what is in which box when you get to your new home or office.

   1. lists of rooms in your current and future space

   2. packing lists for each of the boxes (so you can fill them in when I am not there.)

I can help you pack, you can DIY, or you can let the professional movers do it according to the forms we set. Up to you!

The cost is for 4 hours of work because I will be putting in at least that. If we go over 4 hours, we can discuss whether or not you want to book additional individual hours, or if you want to finish it yourself. 

What it isn’t:

Me moving you. I don’t have trucks. Unless all you things can fit in my Rav-4, you’ll need someone else (and I have contacts who are trustworthy and terrific

What’s required:

1. Your honesty (If you are smuggling an endangered animal, I am not going to list it as a lamp. That’s not a lamp, it is a pangolin, Richard!)

2. Your respect for my safety boundaries (Maybe that big sword fits in my car, but it’s a big sword and I am not comfortable with it in the passenger seat, and honestly, you should not be either, because it’s a big sword, Richard!)

3. A 50% deposit ahead of time. I usually do not require that for my jobs, but it is required for this. The rest can be paid after the job is done.

What’s not required:

You getting all the add-ons. Maybe you just want me to help you organize the things you’re moving, but you don’t want to buy the add-ons. 

These are things I have been doing already, but putting it in one package streamlines it for everyone.
