I made a video about this one, because your girl is angry!
Sighs, pinches bridge of nose. Deep breaths
The article I read made it sound like an organizer suggests the first step is buying specific things on a specific list (she didn't say it, and no, I am not naming the magazine or her.)
Babes, if it sounds like I am yelling, it's not at you. It's at our consumerist media that had to take someone as helpful as a member of my profession and twist things she likes to make it seem like she's giving bad advice.
Every organizer has their favorite products (I heckin' love vacuum bags! Turntables FTW!) No organizer would tell you to buy stuff first! It's irresponsible!
Why? We don't know if a product that worked wonders for one client's house and life will work in your completely different house with your completely different life! We don't know what you're going to keep and will need storage for! We are trying to help you with the stuff you already have! Let's not bring more in here unless we know exactly what its purpose is!
The first step is recognizing that something that doesn't work.
The first step is recognizing that you deserve better than something that doesn't work.
You don't need to pay anything for that.
