Life in the During.

I had a bunch of posts that I had planned to post during the week between Christmas and New Year's.

And then my son had to have two emergency bowel surgeries.

I say a lot that our homes are never an After picture. That they're a During. Well, that's not just for organization. That's for everything.

My house is probably a Before right now. Because it kind of is.

All of our systems are going to hell right now. And I truly do not give a shit.

The system that we need the most, are the human support ones. The friends and family who have rallied around us with food, with visits, with messages, and with monetary help.

Organizational systems are in place so that we don't have to think about basic needs when we're overwhelmed. And right now, we are overwhelmed. And our loved ones have organized! And I am grateful.

I may not be posting here or on social media for the next few weeks. I will be coordinating with my clients and rescheduling the work for when it can happen.
